Murals
Wyland’s murals are recognized around the world, celebrating nature’s most powerful and iconic animals and the vast ocean realm that has defined his life’s work. To date, Wyland has completed 103 monumental ocean murals, known globally as the Whaling Walls, spanning from Laguna Beach to Havana, Cuba, and extending across cities around the world. These public masterpieces have become cultural landmarks, inspiring millions with their scale, beauty, and conservation message.
Among his many achievements, Wyland painted the largest mural in history on the Long Beach Convention Center, encompassing more than three acres of surface, a historic feat in both art and engineering. Today, Wyland continues to evolve the mural form, planning a new series of street art murals in collaboration with some of today’s most notable graffiti artists, bridging generations of public art and contemporary urban expression.
In addition to these monumental public works, the Wyland Vault will feature a selection of rare mural pieces on canvas and other substrates, offering collectors a unique opportunity to own collectible works directly connected to Wyland’s legendary mural legacy.
