Great White Encounter

Wyland has spent years working to educate people about the importance of sharks to the global marine ecosystem. In his sculpture, “Great White Encounter,” he pays homage to the great white shark, a creature that we are learning is far more fearsome in our imaginations than in reality. “The more we learn about these amazing creatures, the more they earn our respect as a vital part of a healthy ocean,” Wyland says. “This sculpture is based on my years of observation of these animals and, in my opinion, one of my finest pieces.”
